♟️ 10th BIZ Chess Experience

On September 25, we celebrated the 10th edition of the BIZ Chess Experience, with participants from six countries joining us for a day of chess, learning and competition.

The day began with a special masterclass by Judit Polgar, who took participants through two milestone games from her remarkable career. The first showed how she became the youngest Grandmaster in history at the time, breaking Bobby Fischer’s record. Through another memorable game, she shared the story of her journey into the world’s Top 10.

But the masterclass went far beyond the moves on the board. Through these games, Judit spoke about her own experiences, the challenges she faced, the decisions she made, and the mindset it took to compete at the very highest level.

After a superb lunch at the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest, it was time for the battle to begin! This year brought a special competition format, adding a new twist to the traditional BIZ Chess Experience.

🏆 The Top 3:
🥇 James McCarthy, UK
🥈 Louis Martin, France
🥉 Ashwin Subramanian, India

Congratulations to our winners and a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this special anniversary edition!

“Since 2017, Judit’s BIZ Chess event has been a highlight I look forward to every year – combining the joy of playing chess, the chance to meet fascinating people and make wonderful friends, and, in recent years, the privilege of learning from Judit’s incredible lectures!”– Ashwin Subramanian

“The BIZ Chess Event was an absolute delight from start to finish, the masterclass with Judit herself in the morning was truly inspiring and a rare privilege to learn from, and the whole day was made all the better by the wonderful company and conversation throughout.” – Louis Martin
