The GAMBIT Erasmus+ project concluded in June 2025, with the Judit Polgar Chess Foundation working in collaboration with chess clubs from Greece, Spain, and Hungary. The program, which ran from February 2024 to June 2025, aimed to support the development of children aged 7–12, especially girls and those living in rural areas, through the game of chess.
The project featured coach training sessions provided by the Judit Polgar Chess Foundation, international exchanges, and playful chess activities. Participants also attended the 2024 Judit Polgar Global Chess Festival and the Chess Olympiad in Budapest. In total, the program engaged more than 130 children and 20 coaches.

The closing event took place in Llinars del Vallès, Spain. GAMBIT provided not only meaningful chess experiences but also helped build a genuine international community.
